ByteHide won the Startup Cloud Competition with their Cloud Cyber Security project

Startup TechDay recently brought together numerous professionals from the startup ecosystem in Madrid, including founders, CEOs, technology executives, and experts in Cloud Computing.

One of the highlights was the Startup Cloud Competition, organized by Altostratus, Part of Telefónica Tech, and Wayra. This competition was to reward the most innovative technological project in the Cloud field.

The winning startup was ByteHide, focusing on Cloud Cyber Security. Juan Alberto España, Founder & CEO of ByteHide, received recognition during a ceremony attended by our colleagues from Altostratus, Part of Telefónica Tech, Wayra, and Telefónica.

ByteHide will receive support from Wayra and Altostratus, Part of Telefónica Tech. As part of the prize, they will have access to benefits such as physical space at Wayra's offices or a prioritized analysis of potential investments. Additionally, they will receive technical support and professional services from Altostratus, Part of Telefónica Tech, valued at €10,000 to boost their technological development and capabilities.


Startup TechDay, powered by Altostratus, Part of Telefónica Tech, in collaboration with Google Cloud, became a space for knowledge exchange and networking among startups, accelerators, investment funds, and the organizing companies.

The event featured presentations by experts in technology and Cloud environments, such as Jorge Nogales, Customer Engineering Manager at Google Cloud, and José Luis Cerrada, CTO of Altostratus, Part of Telefónica Tech.

Additionally, topics such as acceleration methods for startups and investment challenges in deep tech projects were addressed, with the participation of venture and corporate capital firms like Adara Ventures, Elewit, Swanlaab Venture Factory, and Kibo Ventures.
