We participated to the roll-out of digital patient records for the UK's largest trust

Our colleagues at Telefónica Tech UK&I are contributing to the development of the Encompass project. This project is dedicated to creating a digital healthcare and social care registry for Northern Ireland citizens.

Encompass is a pioneering initiative in the United Kingdom and represents a significant advancement in managing clinical and administrative patient information. The project began in November 2023 with the digitization of records at the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust. It will expand to all centers across Northern Ireland.

At Telefónica Tech UK&I we provide the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust with specialized hosting and IT management services that support the encompass platform. For this purpose we have formed a team of qualified professionals, located in Belfast, who build and manage the entire computer infrastructure. The team also supports the system's deployment across all public health and social care bodies in the region.

Medical history in the digital age

This digital platform, based on Epic's clinical record software, facilitates coordination among health and social care professionals involved in citizens' care and well-being. The new system enhances the quality and safety of services by replacing paper processes with a unified digital record.

With this project we reinforce our leading position in healthcare digital transformation, offering innovative technological solutions tailored to each client's needs. At Telefónica Tech we have a team of experts in digital technologies applied to the healthcare sector. We provide technological infrastructure management services to entities and hospitals like Cambridge University Hospitals Trust, in the United Kingdom, and Children's Health Ireland in Dublin.
