At MWC 2026 we demonstrate how we integrate digital capabilities to deliver urgent medical care during a football match with 90,000 attendees

At Mobile World Congress (MWC) we presented a real use case of Titan Connect, Telefónica’s uninterrupted connectivity solution. Built on this infrastructure that integrates 5G, fibre and satellite connectivity, at Telefónica Tech we integrate digital capabilities to extend its reach and transform connectivity into a solution for critical environments.

In the recreation of a stadium with 90,000 attendees during a football match, our technological capabilities are incorporated to ensure that the response to a medical emergency is delivered securely, with minimal latency and enhanced availability, even at the moment of highest network demand.

To achieve this, we provide Cyber Security, Cloud, Edge Computing, AI, data and IoT services that complement the connectivity infrastructure demonstrated today. Through AI based observability, we strengthen real time monitoring of system performance and behaviour, enabling their adaptation to traffic peaks and critical situations.

We also integrate computer vision services to analyse images and video in real time and close to the stadium, with minimal latency, in order to detect incidents and activate immediate response protocols. During medical assistance, we incorporate AI systems that analyse the clinical dialogue, generate an automatic transcription and structure the patient’s medical record. In this way, healthcare professionals can focus on the intervention, while the relevant information is captured in an automated report reviewed and validated by the doctor before being sent to the hospital.

On the Titan Connect infrastructure, we integrate a convergent technological ecosystem that combines advanced connectivity with specialised digital capabilities to maintain operations in sectors where an interruption may have economic, social or human consequences.
