We launch a federated platform to enable secure multi-sector Data Spaces

At Telefónica Tech, we have launched a new technology platform and demonstration centre designed to support the creation of multi-sector Data Spaces. With this initiative, we are reinforcing our commitment to providing businesses and public administrations with a trusted environment in which to share information and extract value from data without compromising its integrity or responsible use.

Our platform is designed for the exchange of structured data, both static and real-time, and integrates related services ranging from dashboards and reports for data visualisation and analytics to trained Artificial Intelligence and machine learning models to improve predictive capabilities and decision-making.

The project, named Telefónica DataSphere: Boosting Competitiveness and Data Sovereignty in Multisectoral Ecosystems, was presented at Advanced Factories, a leading industrial event held in Barcelona.

The solution is based on a federated architecture that guarantees data sovereignty and avoids data centralisation, enabling each organisation to retain full control over its digital assets. Access to information is also transparent, traceable and protected through advanced security and governance mechanisms.

We will also launch a demonstration centre to build and validate pilots and use cases under a common governance framework. With this proposal, we enable agile, scalable collaboration aligned with regulatory requirements across organisations and industries, supported by interoperability capabilities, semantic validation, origin certification and digitally signed data access and usage agreements.
