We're partnering with Ehang to boost urban air mobility through Internet of Drones

At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 we will showcase together with EHang, a leader in passenger drones, innovative uses to drive urban air mobility.

Our goal is to offer a safe, efficient, and eco-friendly urban air mobility solution, leveraging Telefónica Tech's 5G connectivity and private networks integrated into EHang's aerial vehicles.

EHang develops electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft that require no pilot, making them ideal for transporting people and freight in urban areas. Additionally, EHang's intelligent platform remotely and automatically manages drones, enhancing efficiency and safety.

Telefónica Tech connectivity is key for reliable, low-latency, and high-capacity data transmission for drones. Through our 5G and private networks, we enable bidirectional communication between the drones and the management platform, allowing real-time image and data transmission. This ensures compliance with air traffic regulations, collision prevention, and emergency response.

Through this alliance we are contributing to the transformation of urban mobility, offering a sustainable, connected, and accessible alternative to improve people's quality of life.
