November 17 at the event ''The Road to Digital Transformation: Connected Vehicles and Smart Mobility'', organized by Telefónica Tech in collaboration with Geotab, key leaders from the technology and mobility sectors came together to discuss how digitalization is reshaping urban transportation toward a smarter, safer, and more sustainable model.

The session opened with welcoming remarks from José Manuel Caramés, Director of Sales Consulting at Telefónica Tech, and Iván Lequerica, VP EMEA at Geotab, who outlined the strategic vision behind the initiative. Shortly after, Severino Pascual and Luis Nadal delivered a keynote on video telematics, showcasing how real-time data is transforming driver protection and asset management.

Attendees then enjoyed a live demonstration of a connected vehicle, led by Luis Nadal, highlighting real use cases for companies managing large fleets. This was followed by a session featuring Marta Chozas (Vecttor, part of the Cabify Group) and José Antonio Prada (Key Account Manager at Telefónica Empresas), who explored how keyless technology can streamline mobility operations and enhance service efficiency.

The sustainability panel brought together Juan Pablo Molinero (CMO of Movistar Team), Daniel García Fernández (Mobility Global Product Manager at Telefónica Tech), and Juan Martínez (Head of IoT and Connected Mobility at Telefónica Empresas), who presented a comprehensive approach to sustainable mobility supported by Energy Savings Certificates (CAE), emphasizing environmental and operational benefits.

The event concluded with a guided tour of “LaCabina” Telefónica’s innovation space, followed by a networking cocktail that wrapped up a dynamic morning of insights, demonstrations, and collaboration among professionals shaping the future of mobility.
