Introducing TheThinX, our advanced IoT & Big Data laboratory

This week at Telefónica Tech, we celebrate the inauguration of our updated laboratory, TheThinX. It is one of the most advanced and well-equipped spaces in IoT and Big Data technology.

We have strengthened this space by doubling its capacity. This will enable us to continue fulfilling our objective of helping our customers, partners, and collaborating entities to test and improve their IoT (Internet of Things) projects using the most advanced technologies.

Since its launch in Madrid in 2017, TheThinX has worked on over 700 IoT solutions in collaboration with more than 500 manufacturers, partners, and clients.

We have a team of experts from Telefónica Tech and other areas of the Group. They are dedicated to the design, validation, and optimization of IoT, Big Data, and Blockchain solutions using platforms such as Kite, Smart Steps, and TrustOS. Additionally, we have various communication technologies and mobile networks, including 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, NB-IoT, and LTE-M.

At TheThinX we do everything from prototype assemblies and concept testing to IoT solution development and validation. This allows us to verify their technical feasibility and compatibility with all mobile networks before mass deployment. As a result, companies save time and resources in the development of their projects, ensuring the quality of the final product.

Furthermore, we closely collaborate with technology companies, manufacturers, communication network providers, platform providers, engineering firms, and certifiers. Together, we work to connect assets and add intelligence to business processes in various sectors, including industrial, energy, retail, logistics, tourism, and mobility, among others.
