Today, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Alejandro Ramos as Country Manager of Telefónica Tech in Brazil. This decision is aimed at strengthening our position as a technological partner for digital transformation and Cyber Security services to Brazilian companies.
Alejandro brings extensive experience in the telecommunications and technology sector. He previously served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Telefónica and joined Telefónica Tech in 2019 as the Global Director of Cybersecurity Operations. He now returns to develop the business, and coordinate our team in Brazil.
In Brazil we have a team of more than 300 professionals who work in coordination with over 6,200 of us that make up the global Telefónica Tech team.
Furthermore, Brazil is home to one of Telefónica Tech's Security Operations Centers (SOC) located at Vivo's facilities. This SOC monitors and protects organizations 24/7, working in coordination with other regional SOCs and the Digital Operations Center (DOC) located in Madrid and Bogotá. This setup allows us to provide Cyber Security services with extended hours on both sides of the Atlantic.
