Today at MWC we showcased the demonstration 'Smart Industry: Leading the Change' installed at the Telefónica pavilion (Hall 3). Through it, we demonstrate our ability to automate, digitize, and secure industrial processes using our digital capabilities and technologies.
The demonstration allows visitors to see how an industrial process is automated, digitized, and securized using advanced technologies such as 5G, Edge Computing, OT Cybersecurity, Big Data, data analytics, computer vision, and Blockchain.
As an example, the demonstration prints a keychain with the company's centenary logo for visitors. The keychain also incorporates a QR code certifying the traceability of the production process and the authenticity of each keychain, which is part of a limited series, through our Blockchain TrustOS platform.
This industrial process is protected by Aristeo, our Cybersecurity solution developed at Telefónica Tech. It is a pioneering project for capturing and predicting threats, deploying a network of decoys with real industrial hardware on the Internet to lure attackers and gather information about threats and attacks received.
The same demonstration allows visitors to see how the robotic arm, which is part of the installation, is affected by a cyberattack without Aristeo's intelligence, and also how Aristeo's intelligence protects the robot from an unforeseen threat.
Overall, the Smart Industry: Leading the Change demonstration we brought to MWC 2024 is an example of our technological capabilities, which allow us to meet any automation and security needs in the industrial sector, regardless of their magnitude or sector.

Immersive experience: our contribution to the Telefónica Open Gateway demo

We also participated in the Telefónica Open Gateway demo. This offers an immersive experience live from the ACB Copa del Rey basketball tournament on Movistar Plus+. The demo uses Telefónica Tech's AWS Edge Computing technology to broadcast the competition from the José M. Martín Carpena Sports Pavilion in Málaga with low latency and immersive cameras.
Visitors to the booth can enjoy this innovative and enriching experience, watching a basketball game from home with virtual reality glasses. Additionally, they can interact with the virtual environment, view game statistics, and share the experience with family and friends. All of this is made possible by the high-quality WiFi service at home, optimized through Telefónica's Open Gateway API.
