At Telefónica we have accompanied Badajoz Provincial Council in the modernisation of its corporate communications through the migration to Webex Calling, Cisco’s cloud calling solution.

Through this project, the public institution is strengthening the flexibility, security and resilience of its voice communications across hybrid and remote working environments. The solution we have integrated at Telefónica Tech enables users to make and receive calls from any location and device, without the need for additional investment in physical infrastructure.

Webex Calling integrates business calling, messaging, collaboration tools and meetings, making interactions between employees easier and improving organisational performance. In addition, it offers customisation, interoperability with existing applications and systems, and automatic updates without service disruption.

The new platform includes advanced encryption, survivability mechanisms and two mirrored data centres in Frankfurt and Amsterdam to ensure the availability and security of the service. It also incorporates Artificial Intelligence capabilities, such as Audio Intelligence to automatically remove background noise, and an AI assistant that helps summarise conversations and message threads.

Badajoz Provincial Council will be able to monitor and optimise the platform through statistics, reports and proactive alerts from Webex Control Hub, enabling its IT team to analyse service usage and quality in real time.
