We deploy a smart management system in Alcoy’s Rodes building

At Telefónica Tech, we have deployed a pioneering smart building management system in Alcoy’s Rodes building, as part of the urban digitalization project led by Telefónica and the Alcoy City Council. This system transforms Rodes into a smart building capable of managing key aspects in real time, such as climate control, energy consumption, irrigation, lighting, and security.

Our solution integrates industrial IoT nodes that collect data from multiple building systems and feed it into both the BMS and Alcoy’s smart city platform. This infrastructure enables more efficient and sustainable management, reduces operational costs, and improves the building’s environmental quality. The Rodes building management system is part of the broader “Alcoi Smart City” urban digitalization initiative in which we participate from Telefónica Tech.

The solution was recently showcased at the Digital Tourist 2025 congress, organized by AMETIC, where the key role of IoT technology in transforming cities into smarter, more connected, and sustainable environments was highlighted.
