At Telefónica Tech and Geprom, we are deploying the technology platform behind Evidenze Data Space, a data space designed for the healthcare sector that will facilitate clinical research and accelerate the development of healthcare technologies through the secure, controlled, and sovereign exchange of information.

The aim of this collaborative environment is to enable the different stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem to share data and services without losing sovereignty over or control of their information. To achieve this, each participant keeps its data at source while making it securely and anonymously available to the wider ecosystem under a shared governance framework, preserving patient privacy at all times.

AI and clinical data analytics for personalised medicine

The project will support use cases related to biomedical research, personalised medicine, the development of healthcare technologies, and advanced clinical data analysis. As part of this initiative, we have worked with Evidenze on two use cases focused on oncology patients:

  • An AI-based predictive model to assess the efficacy and safety of specific medicines in patients with previously untreated metastatic pancreatic cancer and anticipate potential adverse effects associated with the medication before the next treatment cycle.
  • An analytics solution to assess whether oncology treatments and other complex therapeutic procedures achieve the expected outcomes in terms of survival and disease control, using data generated through the continuous monitoring of patients.

Through this project, we continue to advance the development of secure, scalable, interoperable, and traceable data environments that help transform healthcare information into clinical knowledge, promote personalised medicine, and contribute to improving patient care.
