At Telefónica's stand at MWC 2025, we have set up a demo of our Digital Operations Center (DOC) to showcase some of the capabilities we offer at Telefónica Tech to protect our customers.
In this interactive demo, we display three interactive use cases related to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Threat Intelligence, and detection and response to a simulated ransomware attack.
Thus, visitors to Telefónica's stand (Hall 3 – 3K31) will be able to see firsthand how to:
- Analyze the steps to follow when an IP attempting to access multiple users is detected. In this way, they can see firsthand how our SIEM solution provides an extra layer of security by continuously and automatically monitoring and detecting anomalies and cyber threats.
- Confront data breaches and their publication on the dark web. We will show how the Threat Intelligence team can anticipate attacks and design efficient responses by relying on comprehensive cybersecurity solutions.
- Manage a ransomware attack in a corporate environment. We explain the steps to identify and resolve it by leveraging Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services and the work of Threat Hunting and Digital Forensic Incident Response (DFIR).
In 2024, our DOC team, from its locations in Madrid and Bogota, managed more than 50 cyber technologies, identified more than 290,000 threats, deployed more than 370,000 EDR tools, conducted more than 50,000 hours of pentesting and red team exercises, and added more than 4,100 terabytes of security events to SIEM.
The demo also shows the dual role of AI in Cyber Security, both in automated detection and response and in its use by cybercriminals to launch sophisticated attacks. Additionally, we recreate an attack where a Generative AI attempts to steal access credentials that another Generative AI detects and notifies, preventing the attack from advancing thanks to the Device Location Verification API.
