Serveo and Telefónica Tech inspect traffic accidents for the Community of Madrid with drones

In collaboration with Serveo and Navalair, we have conducted a pilot program for the Community of Madrid utilizing drones to examine traffic accidents, gather further information on road conditions, and enhance road safety.

The drones flew several kilometers from the Road Conservation Center in La Cabrera to a location where a simulated accident occurred on the M-631 road during the trial. This demonstration showcased how accident inspections can be improved, streamlining Serveo's response to critical situations and emergency services response. Additionally, drones provide aerial imagery for post-accident investigations.

Furthermore, using drones piloted from a moving vehicle, we inspected 13 kilometers of the M-608 road using LiDAR technology, a system employing laser pulses to generate precise and detailed three-dimensional maps of the surroundings. These data contribute to enhancing road safety, optimizing planning, and efficiently managing infrastructures.
