Telefónica Tech takes part in the National Health Data Space, a data ecosystem to improve care processes

The Government of Spain has announced the National Health Data Space (ENDS), an initiative aimed at improving care processes within the National Health System (SNS) through the responsible use of data.

This is a data space with large scale information analysis and Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities that will enable regional health authorities and participating entities to use data on an ongoing basis to improve care processes and support research, planning and healthcare management activities.

Our role in the deployment of the ENDS

At Telefónica Tech, we are taking part in the deployment of the ENDS, together with other technology providers and in collaboration with the State Agency for Digital Administration (AEAD), providing the public Cloud infrastructure that underpins part of the national health data ecosystem.

This Cloud infrastructure delivers computing, storage, connectivity and middleware capabilities for the integration and use of data from healthcare systems. We also provide specialized professional services for the setup, operation, administration and security of the infrastructure, in line with the technical and regulatory requirements of the healthcare environment.

In addition, we are contributing to the project through the deployment of an advanced data management platform that incorporates advanced analytics, AI and machine learning capabilities for processing healthcare data, developing analytical models and supporting use cases focused on research, management and healthcare planning.

Our contribution also includes the supply and deployment of the solution, its integration and commissioning on the AEAD infrastructure, both in data processing centers and in public Cloud, as well as the tasks required for its operation and evolution.

The National Health Data Space provides access to a shared environment of interoperable data for regional governments, healthcare organizations, research centers and the Ministry of Health, fostering knowledge generation and data driven decision making.
