The Mobile World Congress 2025 is coming to an end, and we're grateful to all the attendees and participants. Throughout these days, we've shared knowledge, technologies, and solutions to transform companies and sectors.

We shared moments and experiences too. In our interactive demos, attendees got a hands-on experience with AI, connectivity, IoT, and cybersecurity. Through our Transformation Handbooks, we shared success stories and strategies for digitalization.

Day 3: Health, green algorithms, industrial cyber resilience, and more

In Beyond the cloud: edge computing and the future of distributed AI, our Director of Cloud Solutions and Services, Daniel Ribaya, explains how Edge Computing enhances data management by processing information closer to its source, reducing latency, and increasing efficiency, security, and scalability. He will also discuss how AI in Edge Computing enables real-time analysis, device autonomy, resource optimization, and accelerated innovation.

Francisco Javier Zorzano, our Head of IoT Technology and Integration, will participate in the 5G IoT Summit, in the session Operation of massive Smart Metering deployments on Cellular IoT networks, where he will discuss the challenges and solutions for operating large-scale Smart Metering deployments using mobile IoT networks. He will also share insights from massive projects deployed by Telefónica Tech.

Carlos Carazo, Global Director of IoT Products, Technologies, and Operations, will participate in the CatEye, 5G blood intelligent monitoring and the Internet of Things panel, which explores how IoT improves healthcare and efficiency. This session will present innovations such as CatEye, a generative AI solution for diagnosing cataracts without ophthalmologists, and 5G Smart Blood Monitoring, which enables remote monitoring of white blood cell concentrations to improve disease tracking.

José Luis Domínguez, our Sales Director, will participate as an expert in IBM's presentation, 'Security in the Quantum Era: Quantum-Safe Cybersecurity Applied Today.' This session will focus on post-quantum cybersecurity solutions currently available to protect critical systems and data from quantum computing threats.

We invite SMEs to join the AI ​​revolution with Elena Gil, our Director of AI and Data for Spain and the Americas, in a session dedicated to how small and medium-sized enterprises—which historically adopted technologies after large corporations—can now leverage the latest AI advances, such as LLMs (Large Language Models), to close the competitiveness gap. She will also share real-world examples and best practices for effective AI adoption.

Sergio de los Santos, our Head of Innovation and Laboratory, will join the Security in the age of AI panel, analyzing how AI systems' growing sophistication brings new risks, including fraud, identity theft, and disinformation. Tackling these challenges requires comprehensive cybersecurity solutions, including managed security services offered by our DOC (Digital Operations Center) and Telefónica Tech’s global SOC network.

Carlos Martínez, Director of AI and Data Solutions and Services, will participate in the session Green algorithms, from risk to opportunity, where we will explore AI’s environmental impact and strategies to mitigate its footprint. The discussion will also highlight AI-driven solutions for addressing current environmental challenges, backed by practical business and social use cases.

In the session Resilient digitalisation in industry: technology, agility, and competitiveness, Darío Cesena, CEO of Geprom, part of Telefónica Tech, will explain how digital technologies like 5G, private networks, MOM platforms, and AI are transforming the industrial sector. The focus will be on resilient digitalization, which depends on data accuracy, selecting the right partners, and fostering talent.

At Elevating Digital Trust through Mobile Identity, part of the Mobile Identity Summit, Glyn Povah will examine mobile solutions that enhance digital trust, enable secure interactions between users and businesses, and highlight the importance of digital identity in protecting individuals and companies against cyber threats.

Day 2: 5G drones, Quantum-Safe technology, and satellite connectivity

Kallitsa Georgiou Savvidou, Head of IoT Innovation, will participate in the session End-to-end drones: next generation services, where she will present our Drone-as-a-Service solution. This service leverages the 5G network and Open Gateway to integrate autonomous drones safely, efficiently, and scalably across multiple industries.

Kallitsa will alsoparticipatet in the session Quantum-safe technologies at Telefónica, focusing on the integration of post-quantum security within telecom infrastructure in anticipation of quantum computing. This session will cover our vision, its impact on the sector, and our quantum-safe security solutions.

In the afternoon, Juan José González Menaya, Head of IoT Connectivity, will speak at the session Satellite connectivity: critical infrastructure, emergencies and the global IoT. He will discuss our satellite services portfolio, which integrates various technologies to provide satellite connectivity solutions ranging from broadband to IoT applications.

In the session Digital Forensics with Leicestershire Police: blueprint to improve efficiency in police investigations, Will Wilkinson from Telefónica Tech UK&I and Detective Anthony Jones from Leicestershire Police will explain how technological advancements, automation, and collaboration are improving efficiency in solving complex cases.

Day 1: Capitalizing on the AI Revolution

Elena Gil, Director of AI and Data at Telefónica Tech for Spain and America, participates in the session Capitalising on the AI Revolution. In this session, a panel of experts will discuss how industries can leverage AI tools and systems to achieve economic results.

Elena also participates in the session Gen AI Summit: Gen AI, a Growth Engine for Telcos and Enterprise? which explores how telecom companies and other industries can use Generative AI to improve their internal systems and productivity, and use it as a growth engine and for generating new revenue.

Our Director of AI and Data for Spain and America also presents 'How to assure GenAI return of investment'.
