Telefónica nears 50% of the IoT market in Spain with around 25.1 million lines

We closed the first quarter of 2026 by consolidating our leadership in the IoT market in Spain, increasing the number of IoT lines managed in the country to 25.1 million. This represents a 326% increase compared to the same period of the previous year and places us close to a 50% share of the national market.

This progress reflects our commitment to driving digitalization across key sectors such as connected mobility through the deployment of V16 beacons in Spain, as well as industry, healthcare, security, and the transformation of water and gas infrastructures through smart meters.
