Today Telefónica announced the fulfillment of its financial objectives for 2023 with a revenue of €40.65 billion and a net profit of €2.37 billion, up 17.1%.
In this context, at Telefónica Tech, the digital business unit of Telefónica offering solutions and services in Cybersecurity, Cloud, IoT, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain, we have consolidated our growth with a revenue increase in 2023 to €1.878 billion, a 26.7% rise compared to 2022.
In 2023, we also achieved our sustainability goals, reducing emissions by 51% over the past eight years, progressing towards carbon neutrality by 2040. Additionally, our connectivity services and Eco Smart initiatives helped prevent over 86 million tons of CO2 in 2023.
Moreover, our socio-economic impact surpasses €100 billion, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing connectivity as a driver of progress. In terms of diversity, we have made strides towards our goal of having 33% female executives (32.8% in 2023) and a balanced Board of Directors.
