Telefónica Tech UK&I has supported for the third consecutive year a digital training program aimed at young people aged 16-19 in the North and West Belfast areas. This initiative, led by Impact Training and Queen's University Belfast, is developed within the framework of the agreement with Encompass, and aims to bring young people closer to the technology sector through practical and specialized training.
Participants were trained for six months in key areas such as software development, data science, artificial intelligence, and cyber security, guided by expert mentors. The program not only provides them with technical skills, but also key competencies for their professional future.
The latest edition concluded with a graduation ceremony held at our headquarters in Titanic Quarter (Belfast), where the students' efforts were recognized. As part of the event, Raspberry Pi devices were given to the graduates as an incentive to further strengthen their programming skills.
This project proves how collaboration between organizations can open up real opportunities for talented young people, promoting a more inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem in the UK.
