The solution for digitalising the healthcare process, developed by Telefónica Tech in collaboration with its technology partner MySphera, enables Hospital del Mar to track patients and assets in real time, optimising decision-making and operational efficiency in critical areas such as the Surgical Block, ER and Hospitalisation.

Thanks to this technology, the hospital improves the patient experience, offering closer support throughout the care process, whilst reducing costs and maximising the use of resources. Hospital del Mar is positioning itself as a leader in the integration of digital tools for safer, more efficient and people-centred healthcare.

The digital platform replaces manual processes in the operating theatre, streamlining tasks and allowing professionals to spend more time on patient care.

Hospital del Mar provides relatives with real-time information about the patient via an app, with data encrypted to preserve anonymity and improve the care experience.

The new traceability system identifies the patient from the moment they enter surgery using a wristband and beacons in the operating theatre, allowing their location to be tracked in real time throughout the entire process.
