New managed service in collaboration with F5 to protect Cloud web apps

We have expanded our alliance with F5 to offer our Telefónica Tech enterprise clients the newly available managed service Web Application Defense (WAD), on the distributed F5 Cloud platform.

WAD utilizes Artificial Intelligence, programmable rules, and machine learning to analyze web applications deployed in distributed environments in real time. WAD detects threats and vulnerabilities in real time.

Application protection is performed through a single control panel, regardless of where web applications are deployed: on client premises, data centers, hybrid clouds, Edge Computing... This adds a critical layer of security while providing the flexibility our enterprise clients need to deploy, secure, and operate web applications across multiple clouds.

Furthermore, we can enhance the monitoring of web applications with our human team at the Security Operations Center (SOC), providing 24/7 support and monitoring for our clients' Cloud environments. As part of this reinforcement, we offer high-severity problem classification, alert investigation, and corrective recommendations.

With the new WAD service, available in Spain through a monthly subscription, we include industry-leading capabilities from F5: Web Application Firewall (WAF), Bot Defense, API Security, and Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack mitigation.
