GO fit is a leading sports and physical activity company firm with 20 years of experience that bases its activity on the development and promotion of large sports complexes. They have 1,000 employees, more than 200,000 clients and 18 sports centers in Spain and 2 in Portugal. It was essential for them to know the flow analysis and the use of the deployed zones and machinery in order to be able to make business decisions based on data. They had tried solutions such as people counting, beacons, and RDFI with little success in the insights obtained and a high cost of deployment of the technical solutions.

Sports facilities optimization

They did not have enough information about the use of each area of the facilities (the pool, the free weight area, etc.) with the information they had from the turnstiles at the access to the sports center. Thanks to the video analytics they can know how many people and occupancy times they have in each of the areas of interest to be measured.

Staff optimization and schedule planning

Thanks to the data on traffic and occupancy in each of the areas of the facilities, the client was able to organize the staff shifts with information based on real data from each sports center.

User knowledge for an optimal experience

The client wanted its users to enjoy its facilities without having to wait at some of the most demanded machines or areas. To this end, they needed detailed information on occupancy and dwell times at each point of interest in order to be able to make decisions on the redistribution of machinery or additional purchases.

Cost effectiveness of space and machinery

Knowing the occupancy of the areas of the sports center, the sequences of routes between areas and the heat maps of users on the machines allowed them to relocate the machines to take advantage of the space and to reinforce and eliminate the renting of the necessary machines.
