Learn about our IoT Partners Program, a business opportunity to grow in the global market

September 25, 2023

At Telefónica Tech we work every day with dozens of technology partners to develop the best Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for customers around the world. In 2014 we created the Telefónica Tech IoT Partners Program (IPP) with the aim of strengthening our network of alliances.

Since then, our partner programme has continued to grow; we currently have more than 1,500 associated companies and more than 160 certified partners from a dozen countries in Europe and the Americas.

The program is intended for companies of all sizes that are developing IoT-based products and services and want to accelerate their commercialization. To achieve this, we work with them to empower their business and help them reach their full potential in commercialising IoT solutions.

IoT has the potential to transform the way we live, work, and interact with the physical world.

Benefits of Telefónica Tech's IoT Partners Program

We offer our partners significant benefits through this programme and help them address the challenges they face in bringing IoT products and solutions to market, including:

  • International presence and a highly qualified sales team to extend its global reach.
  • Technical and commercial support to generate new business opportunities.
  • Access to a global market of customers to increase your revenue.
  • Option to leverage the capabilities of The ThinX, our advanced IoT lab, to accelerate the development of new solutions.
  • Technical and commercial training and education programmes.
  • Foster new opportunities for collaboration between our partners to promote knowledge sharing and innovation.

The programme also has PAMs (Partners Account Managers) in all regions where it is present. These highly qualified professionals personally provide technical and commercial support to our partners to help them develop their business and take full advantage of the benefits of the programme.

Our IPP (IoT Partners Program) is not just about connectivity. We strive to work closely with our partners to understand their strategy and growth plans. We can then devise the best strategy to help them cross borders, incorporate new functionalities to suit their needs and make barriers to entry into countries virtually non-existent.

The ThinX, an advanced IoT lab at the service of our partners

The ThinX Lab is one of the most advanced and best equipped environments in the IoT and Big Data technology space. We have recently expanded its capacity to continue to support our customers, partners, and collaborators in enhancing their IoT projects with the most advanced technologies.

The ThinX has collaborated on the development of more than 700 IoT solutions in partnership with over 500 manufacturers, partners, and customers since 2017.

Our team of experts from Telefónica Tech and other divisions of the Group are dedicated to the design, validation, and optimisation of IoT, Big Data and Blockchain solutions using platforms such as Kite, Smart Steps and TrustOS.

Our partners, both local and global, have the opportunity to use The ThinX lab to carry out tests on their devices. For these tests they have at their disposal the most advanced mobile network and connectivity technologies, ranging from 2G and 3G to 4G, 5G, as well as LPWA, NB-IoT and LTE-M.

The ThinX also offers technical guidance from our hardware, connectivity, and solutions experts. In this way, we create a unique collaborative environment that goes beyond connectivity. In this environment, Telefónica Tech plays the role of a complete end-to-end technology integrator in the sector.
