Together with Telefónica Tech, it has carried out three use cases of 5G and Edge Computing applied to ship repair and construction processes: providing remote technical assistance to maintenance officers through AR glasses, supporting the construction process of a ship and processing 3D scanning in real time. The deployment of 5G and the implementation of Edge Computing enable high-quality and immersive AR applications, due to low latency and high download speeds of 10Gb/s. In addition, it is possible to visualise the different parts to be built in each phase of the process on a real scenario, detecting possible design faults before construction.
