ONCE was faced with the challenge and the opportunity to increase its current social lottery products in a constantly growing sector, for which it needed to have services with a processing and storage capacity that adapted to its needs. Telefónica Tech developed an approach with a solution that supports and guarantees business continuity with a service management capacity that adapts to the changing demands of the sector along with a disruptive security architecture design based on physical elements and logical capacities provided by Cloud environments. The model enjoyed by ONCE after the migration process is a pay-per-use model, flexible, with capacity for growth and hybridisation, allowing it to be prepared to undertake an evolution strategy that allows for clear operational efficiency both in terms of costs and the incorporation of new technologies.

Highlights of the success story

DPC transparency

End to end solution common communications and storage architecture based on a geo-distributed data centre behaving as a single data centre removing any single point of failure.

Operational efficiency

Our proposal is focused on providing ONCE with a solution with the capacity to grow and evolve towards hybrid cloud solutions both in terms of costs and the incorporation of new technologies (microservices, containers, Big Data, AI, etc.).

Capacity for growth

ONCE has a flexible, pay-per-use model, with the capacity for growth and hybridisation. Our proposal for ONCE is based on a solution that combines the Private Cloud of Telefónica and the Public Cloud of AWS, solution that guarantees the SLAs and security requirements requested in the RFP, as well as a guarantee of technological evolution and innovation during the duration of the contract.
