Smart CitiesOur customer Semark AC Group S.A., is a leading Spanish company in food distribution operating in the regions of Cantabria, Castilla y León and La Rioja. It operates under two brands, Lupa for retail and Top Cash for wholesale. Semark has experienced impressive growth in the last 5 years, reaching a turnover of 879 million euros.Large companies, which handle massive amounts of data and complex operations, as is the case with Semark, frequently choose to collaborate with specialized service providers to efficiently manage their IT infrastructure. High availability and reliability are essential in today's business environment, and specialized providers offer superior resiliency and redundancy. Semark turned to Telefónica Tech to manage its AWS infrastructure and deploy the Magento e-commerce solution quickly and efficiently, followed by optimizations to comply with AWS best practices.

Deployment in two phases
In the first phase: implementation of AWS accounts, EC2 instances, BBDD in Aurora, Elastic Cache, Elastic Search and EFS; in the second: optimization with resources in multiple AZs, CloudFront CDN and Varnish.
